Overview

Rube is an MCP server built on the Composio integration platform that bridges AI chat tools with hundreds of business and productivity applications, including Gmail, Slack, Notion, GitHub, Linear, Airtable, and more. After installation, you authenticate the connected apps once, and your AI assistant can perform real actions such as sending emails, creating tasks, updating databases, or posting updates. Rube translates plain-English commands into the correct API calls and can chain multi-step workflows across multiple apps. It supports a broad range of MCP clients (Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code, Claude Code) and generic MCP clients, with authentication managed by Composio using OAuth 2.1, end-to-end encryption, and SOC 2 compliant practices. The server is team-ready: a single Rube URL can be shared to grant access to all connected apps, with connections that can be personal or shared across an organization. Setup is quick (under five minutes) via a wizard or one-click install, and credentials can be managed through the Composio dashboard.
