A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for weather, climate, and air quality forecast and geocoding services from measurespace.io, built with FastAPI and the MCP framework. This server provides a suite of location-aware tools that AI assistants can query to retrieve weather, climate, and air quality forecasts and related geodata. It exposes hourly forecasts for the next five days, daily forecasts for the next 15 days, and daily climate forecasts spanning the next nine months, along with hourly and daily air quality data for the coming four days. In addition to forecasting, the server offers geocoding services to resolve city names into latitude/longitude coordinates and reverse geocoding to identify the nearest city for a given coordinate. It also includes timezone information and astronomical data such as sunrise and sunset times. The project is designed for integration into AI workflows and tools, like Claude Desktop, and relies on Python 3.12+, the uv package manager, and API keys from measurespace.io. It emphasizes ease of use and compatibility with MCP-based querying.
