Octagon VC Agents is an MCP server that runs AI-powered simulations of notable venture capitalists (e.g., Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Reid Hoffman, and others). These personas provide rigorous investment thinking for pitch feedback, due diligence simulations, term sheet negotiations, and strategic guidance. The personas are designed as simulations inspired by real investors but are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. The agents' thinking is continuously enriched by Octagon Private Markets' real-time deals, valuations, and deep research intelligence. The project ships with investor persona profiles defined in markdown files under src/octagon_vc_agents/investors and supports customization by adding new personas, implementing custom interaction patterns, and enhancing orchestration for multi-perspective analysis. Prerequisites include two API keys (an Octagon API key and an OpenAI API key). Installation and configuration support Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and manual pipx-based setups, with environment variables OPENAI_API_KEY and OCTAGON_API_KEY.
