The server leverages a conversational AI 'thought partner' and the internal 'Goal Engine' to transform goal tracking into an engaging, momentum-building experience. It weaves visualization techniques into planning, leveraging mental imagery to support implementation intentions, a method backed by research to improve goal achievement. As goals are completed, insights and progress are securely captured for reflection and future planning, while users can still track tasks with their existing tools. The architecture is designed to work with MCP clients, with simple config entries that the inspector can read. To run locally or in production, you pass the MCP server with the goalstory-mcp module and an API key via the provided command stub, enabling streamlined development and integration.
