MCP Atlassian Server is an MCP server that connects AI agents such as Cline, Claude Desktop, and Cursor to Atlassian Jira and Confluence, enabling them to query data and perform actions through a standardized MCP interface. Although optimized for Cline, it adheres to the MCP standard and works with other MCP-compatible clients. The server exposes two capability categories: Resources (read-only) and Tools (actions), allowing agents to read Jira/Confluence data (issues, projects, spaces, pages, comments) and to perform operations (create, update, transition, delete, etc.). The project uses the latest MCP SDK and supports Jira API v3 and Confluence API v2 for robust integration.
