Overview

Port MCP Server is a Port IO-provisioned MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables advanced automations and natural language interactions for developers and AI applications. It provides capabilities to retrieve information quickly, such as getting entity details, checking on-call status, and extracting catalog insights, enabling teams to understand and act on their service portfolios. It also supports scorecard analysis, allowing users to identify weak points, surface compliance gaps, and guidance to improve quality. The server can create and manage resources like scorecards, rules, and quality gates, enabling governance and continuous improvement. It includes RBAC and permission management features to fetch action permissions, configure policies, and enable dynamic, team-based access control. The MCP server exposes tooling for managing blueprints, entities, scorecards, and invoking AI agents via a single interface. It supports multiple installation methods (Docker and uvx), requires a Port account, client credentials, and a selected region (EU or US). It integrates with Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, and other environments to discover and use Port MCP tools.
