Overview

DocuMCP is an intelligent MCP server designed for open-source documentation deployment. It performs deep repository analysis to understand project structure, dependencies, and documentation needs, then provides data-driven recommendations for static site generators (Jekyll, Hugo, Docusaurus, MkDocs, Eleventy). It automatically creates a Diataxis-compliant documentation structure and generates deployment workflows for GitHub Pages with SSG-specific optimizations. The server includes deployment verification to ensure successful publishing and supports a modular, stateless TypeScript implementation via the official MCP SDK. It also supports future enhancements in Intelligence & Learning, offering historical deployment insights, user preferences, deployment analytics, and smart scoring. In the Documentation Maintenance path, it adds freshness tracking and sitemap/knowledge-graph integrations to improve ongoing recommendations. DocuMCP integrates with MCP-enabled clients (e.g., Claude Desktop, VS Code Copilot, Cursor Editor, Gemini Code Assist) and runs on Node.js 20+ with npm.
