Variflight MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol implementation that provides access to VariFlight's aviation data services via MCP. It offers tools to query flight information, weather data, and flight comfort metrics, along with access to low-fare itineraries and other civil aviation-related data. The server exposes capabilities to search flights by departure and arrival airports using IATA codes with a date, search by flight number, retrieve transfer options between cities, obtain a flight happiness index (comfort metrics), track real-time aircraft location by registration number, fetch a 3-day airport weather forecast, and search itineraries for purchasable options with the lowest prices. Authentication uses a Variflight API key configured in the MCP server configuration (VARIFLIGHT_API_KEY). It is intended for developers building aviation apps and services that need programmatic access to flight status, weather data, comfort metrics, and optimization data.
